Accessibility Statement

last updated: 11 June 2026

Our commitment

Swiss Web Development Kiefer is committed to making useflume.dev accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and harmonized in EN 301 549.

As a Swiss sole proprietorship below the microenterprise thresholds, we may fall outside the formal scope of the European Accessibility Act's service obligations. We nonetheless apply its standards voluntarily, because accessibility is a quality requirement, not just a legal one.

Measures we take

  • ▰Semantic HTML throughout: a single h1 per page, hierarchical headings, landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and labeled navigation.
  • ▰Full keyboard operability — all interactive elements are reachable and usable without a mouse, including the FAQ disclosure widgets.
  • ▰High-contrast design: the color palette (near-black on off-white) exceeds WCAG AA contrast ratios for body text.
  • ▰Text alternatives: decorative elements are marked aria-hidden; informative images carry alt text.
  • ▰Responsive layout that supports 200% browser zoom and small viewports without loss of content.
  • ▰No content that flashes more than three times per second.
  • ▰Reduced reliance on color alone — status information is conveyed with text and symbols in addition to color.

Known limitations

The Service is in beta and some areas do not yet fully conform:

  • ▰Dashboard charts are visual; an equivalent data table is provided for the request log, but some aggregate visualizations do not yet have a text alternative.
  • ▰The sign-in and sign-up forms are provided by our authentication vendor (Clerk); we monitor but do not fully control their markup.
  • ▰Some decorative ASCII/terminal-style graphics on the landing page are presentational and skipped by screen readers; their informational content is repeated in accessible text nearby.

We are working to address these as the product matures.
