Terms & Conditions (AGB)
last updated: 11 June 2026
1. Scope and provider
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Flume website and service (the “Service”), operated by Swiss Web Development Kiefer, c/o Marvin Kiefer, Steinstrasse 60, 5406 Rütihof, Switzerland (“we”, “us”). UID: CHE-460.493.542 MWST. Contact: marvin.kiefer@swisswebdev.ch.
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. Deviating terms of the user do not apply unless we expressly agree to them in writing.
2. The service
Flume is a proxy and metering service for AI provider APIs. It allows you to:
- ▰store your own AI provider API keys in an encrypted vault,
- ▰mint revocable proxy tokens scoped to a provider,
- ▰route API requests through our proxy, which injects your real key server-side,
- ▰view usage, token, cost, and latency metrics per token in a dashboard.
Cost figures shown in the dashboard are estimates derived from per-model pricing tables and token counts reported by the providers. They are provided for information only; the amounts billed to you by your AI providers are solely determined by those providers.
3. Beta status
The Service is currently offered as a free beta. It is provided “as is”, may contain errors, and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. There is no entitlement to availability, specific features, or uninterrupted operation, and no service level agreement applies.
4. Account and contract conclusion
A usage contract between you and us is concluded when you complete registration and we provision your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. Accounts are personal; you are responsible for all activity under your account and your proxy tokens. You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian.
5. Prices and payment
Use of the Service is currently free of charge; no payment details are collected. If paid plans are introduced, prices, payment terms, and applicable VAT (our VAT number: CHE-460.493.542 MWST) will be displayed before any purchase, and continued use of paid features will require your express acceptance. Free-tier functionality existing at that time will remain available free of charge or you will be able to export your data and close your account before any charge applies.
6. Your obligations and acceptable use
- ▰You may only vault API keys that you are authorized to use, and your use of each AI provider through the proxy must comply with that provider’s own terms of service and usage policies.
- ▰You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes, to infringe third-party rights, or to circumvent provider rate limits, bans, or geographic restrictions.
- ▰You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, or resell the Service without our written consent.
- ▰You are responsible for the content of requests you route through the proxy, including any personal data contained in prompts (see the Privacy Policy, section 4).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with immediate effect in serious cases.
7. API keys and tokens
Vaulted keys are encrypted and write-only (see Privacy Policy). You can revoke any proxy token and delete any vaulted key at any time. Revocation takes effect immediately. You remain the owner of your provider keys and are responsible for rotating them with the provider if you believe a key has been compromised outside the Service.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, and content are our property or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose during the term of the contract. Your data remains yours.
9. Warranty and liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused by intent or gross negligence and for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. In all other respects, our liability — in particular for slight negligence, indirect damage, consequential damage, lost profits, and damage arising from the unavailability of the Service or from acts and omissions of the AI providers — is excluded to the extent permitted by law (Art. 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations). The Service depends on third-party providers; we are not responsible for their availability, output, pricing, or conduct. Mandatory statutory rights of consumers remain unaffected.
10. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)
The Service is currently free of charge, so no withdrawal situation arises. If you purchase a paid plan as a consumer residing in the EU/EEA, you will have the statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving reasons. If you request that a paid digital service begin during the withdrawal period, you will owe a proportionate amount for the service provided until withdrawal. Withdrawal instructions and a model form will be provided with any future paid plan checkout. Swiss law does not provide a general statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases; we will nonetheless extend the same 14-day policy to Swiss consumers voluntarily.
11. Term and termination
The contract runs for an indefinite period. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account in the dashboard; deletion immediately and permanently removes all your data (see Privacy Policy, section 7). We may terminate with 30 days’ notice by email, or without notice for good cause, including serious violations of section 6.
12. Changes to these terms
We may amend these Terms with effect for the future. Registered users will be informed of material changes in the application or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may terminate the contract free of charge before the changes take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss substantive law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of Swiss Web Development Kiefer (Canton of Aargau, Switzerland). Mandatory consumer protection provisions and mandatory places of jurisdiction of the state in which a consumer is resident remain reserved.
14. Severability
Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its economic purpose.
